Karina's Advice

Are you thinking of a Spring wedding?

There’s nothing better than being in a beautiful (warm) ceremony room which has huge windows and views across stunning gardens or parkland.

Light it up

When looking for a venue for your Spring wedding, consider one with lots of natural light and maybe even the opportunity to open bi-fold doors should your wedding day be glorious and sunny. There’s nothing better than heading outside for a confetti throw and a champagne reception on the terrace.

Choosing your wedding flowers

Spring offers a wide range of floral options, including tulips, daffodils, cherry blossoms, lilacs, and a variety of greenery. Pick the flowers that you like the most and use them to decorate the ceremony space, bringing the outside, in.

New beginnings

Spring is all about new beginnings so think about how you want the ceremony to look and feel like for your guests too. If you’re wanting to have a candle ceremony or candles alongside the aisle, choose floral scented candles to evoke a scent associated with spring, like sweet pea or lily of the valley.

Scent sensation!

Ask your celebrant or venue team to spritz the ceremony room with a herb scented spritzer before your guests enter the ceremony room. The beautiful scent of lavender or thyme and rosemary will linger in the air creating a “green and fresh” feeling in the room.

Plant a tree

You could even consider a tree planting mini ceremony. This not only uses a sapling which hopefully will grow into a wonderful tree, it represents how growing strong roots and branches, to weather all storms, requires love, nurturing and attention.

Spring is a time of new beginnings, making it the perfect time to set intentions and goals for your future marriage.

Have a happy Spring wedding!

Best wishes Karina.
