Looking forward to 2023 Weddings
So here we are heading to end of another year, some beautiful weddings, mostly ones who have postponed at least twice due to Covid, but here’s looking forward, (hopefully now) that this is behind us. The next hurdle, the cost of living, where will that leave us?
Are couples planning more economical big days or cancellations?
I’ve heard of at least one couple recently who have completely cancelled their wedding day as they simply can no longer afford to have the day they wanted.
Obviously, no one wants to cut back on their special day, it’s one of the biggest events of your life and should be celebrated as such. So, getting your finances in order and spending your money on the most important parts of the day are essential. Nothing has to cost a fortune, but don’t be fooled into false economy.
The dress, the venue, and of course the photographer.
Cheaper doesn’t mean better, expensive doesn’t mean the most perfect…Go with what feels right, in my experience my couples have been more relaxed, letting me get on with what I do, recording the day, and my fee reflects that. I’m comfortable with what I charge and what my clients expect.
So, what I’m saying is, be comfortable with what you are willing to pay, don’t spend your wedding day worrying about the cost. And a village hall can look every bit as amazing as that country house!
